I get the Canton/Troy paper; they do reprints of items from papers in the past as well as current local news. Today there were items from a 1952 Troy Gazette-Register.
Two Trojans who have farms that are over 100 years old were given recognition from the Bradford County Historical Society. The A Reid Loomis farm, RD 3, has been in the family for 115 years and that of Mrs. Sophia Pomeroy Case has been in that family for 108 years.
I remember Mom talking about moving to the farm from "the hill" but never thought about how long it had been in the family. I have no idea when they moved but think Mom was fairly young. Do any of you have any information about this? 1952 must be close to when they sold the farm and moved to Farmers Valley since Reid died in 1955.
